Job Summary

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and reviewing electrical designs of electrical panels. The role involves creating detailed schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams, ensuring designs meet industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI) and customer requirements, and supporting production and installation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical System Design:

• Develop independently comprehensive electrical designs of electric panels, including schematic diagrams, layout plans, and wiring diagrams using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software).
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and design documentation for each project.

Standards and Compliance:

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEC, ANSI).
• Incorporate safety, reliability, and quality considerations into design processes.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and design best practices

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the switchgear, power distribution, or industrial automation sectors.
• Proficient in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Strong understanding of electrical circuit design, control systems, protection schemes, and power distribution (SLD).
